Our History

Founded in 2015 by father-and-son team Jim Jenkins and Jimmy Jenkins, Design Technologies was established with a commitment to delivering high-quality control panels, custom wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and automation solutions while providing the responsiveness, flexibility, and personal service that customers often cannot find from larger manufacturers.

What began as a small family-owned business has grown into a trusted manufacturing partner serving customers across a variety of industries. From the beginning, our focus has been on understanding each customer’s unique requirements and delivering dependable solutions that support their products, equipment, and operations.

Design Technologies specializes in industrial control panels, automation systems, custom wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and electromechanical assemblies. Whether supporting prototype development, low-volume production, or full-scale manufacturing programs, our team works closely with customers to ensure quality, accuracy, and on-time delivery.

As customer needs evolved, Design Technologies expanded its capabilities. In 2020, the company added automation integration and light fabrication services, allowing customers to source more complete solutions from a single manufacturing partner. This expansion strengthened our ability to support projects from concept and engineering review through fabrication, assembly, testing, and production.

Over the years, we have invested in equipment, processes, and certifications to maintain the highest standards of workmanship and reliability.
